After Reflexology Treatment

Whilst most people feel a sense of well being and increased relaxation after treatment. Some people may experience adverse effects after reflexology. This is believed to be a sign that the body is healing and dealing with toxins that are released during the session. Reactions may include a temporary worsening of symptoms,  increased thirst, a need to sleep, headache, dizziness, nausea, slight diarrhoea, increased bowel movements, increased urination, increased sweating, runny nose, feeling emotional or upset. This is normal and is part of the healing process with symptoms usually not lasting more than 24 hours.

To help the healing process and reduce the likelihood of a reaction you are advised to drink plenty of water, avoid stimulants such as tea, coffee and alcohol and refrain from exercising after your treatment.
